oscars big adventure

we decided to take amy to her hair appt. so oscar and i went for a little adventure.  we started at the hair shop and went across the street for some cheeseburgers and fries at the sports bar.  oscars cheeseburger was more like a hockey puck than a burger but he chomped it down.  our next move was to check in with amy and see what the time frame looked like and head east.  we just missed the streetcar so we just kept walking towards the broadway bridge.  i asked oscar if he had ever been on the bridge and he replied no popi only when we go to g.ma's house.   to oscars amazement we went over the train station which was very busy with people loading up on a train.  within the next 100 feet oscar saw the brown water flowing down the willamette river.    he  couldn't believe the size of the ships loading up their cargo holes with grain.  oscar wanted to walk home and i knew that my shoulders wouldn't make the 2 miles it would take to get home so we turned around in search of a special treat.  CUPCAKES would help oscar back up the 8 city block we had to tromp back to the salon.  he opened the door to the salon and yelled 'cupcakes mamma we have cupcakes'.

we got some lights for oscars bike and he loves them. he tells us he is a police officer or a fireman as he races from room to room at hyper speed. he wanted to ride his bike outside the other night in the dark and rain. i told him it was pretty dark out and he said " don't worry papa i have lights!" off we went in the the backyard for rally through the garden and "oscars forest". he is full of it lately.......in a good way!

we decided to cut oscars hair tonight. i didn't really know what to do, so i just started with the sides. he ended up with a mohawk mullet thing. i think he likes it

funny how time passes. from a little peanut to a crazy boy. these pictures are around 2 years apart and he is still the same but so different in many ways. we have more crazy times ahead and i can't wait!
